This is an irregular Bitcoin meetup with some very special guests: We're happy to welcome Peter Todd and Amir Taaki to Berlin! ⚡
Peter Todd will present his ideas about defeating insider attacks: "While the Bitcoin protocol is in theory trustless, our software isn't. Here, we'll go over what insiders - developers - can and can't do to your software to backdoor it without your knowledge and how we can deal with this problem in practice."
Amir Taaki will talk about "The Second Coming of the Dark Renaissance: Agorist Crypto Economics". Or, to be a bit more precise: "The age of anonymity is upon us. ZK proofs encode relations. An unexplored design space opens up. Simultaneously fiat liquidity pours into crypto networks. In this crucible the concept of DarkFi is born. A language of abstract mathematical pictographs used by a secret alliance of democratic forces organizing through cyberspace."
This event will be hosted at a new location: Bierhaus Urban! 🍺 They'll be accepting Bitcoin (₿/⚡) for the first time (and may decide to continue to do so if everyone tips well.)
