EXPANDED.ART is delighted to present PROOF OF WORK. A LOOK INTO THE WORLD OF BITCOIN, BLOCKCHAIN, AND CRYPTO MINING by Danny Franzreb, his first solo exhibition at the Showroom in Berlin.

PROOF OF WORK by Franzreb is the first major body of work and photo book to offer detailed insights into the world of blockchain, bitcoin, NFTs, and the people driving them. Amid the cryptocurrency boom of 2021 and 2022, Danny Franzreb embarked on a year-long journey to explore the world of miners, investors, and early adopters of digital currencies. The resulting body of work captures the unique individuals and diverse locales of the crypto mining scene, ranging from small-scale basement prospectors and industrial mining farms in Russia to high-tech, sustainable factories in Sweden.

Danny Franzreb will give an introduction to his work, provide some background on his journey to miners around the globe and open the conversation about Bitcoin mining at this opening event.
