Who's Ready to Hold Their Own Keys? First Research Study Reveals Answers

Dmitrii Milorava will talk about his Masters Thesis "Do Users Understand and Want Self-Custody? Insights from an Extended UTAUT Perspective".

You can read the thesis here: https://essay.utwente.nl/104600/1/Milorava_MA_BMS.pdf

Already available on Google Scholar, the first data-driven study focused exclusively on self-custody adoption will be presented at our meetup.

This quantitative research identifies which users are embracing financial sovereignty and why others hesitate.
The author will share key findings on:

> Which user profiles successfully adopt self-custody solutions
> The factors that matter more than technical knowledge
> The real barriers preventing mainstream acceptance
> Practical frameworks for implementation based on real-world data

We'll also discuss why self-custody matters in today's financial landscape, along with a clear-eyed look at its advantages and potential drawbacks for different types of users.
This study provides actionable insights for developers, educators, and Bitcoin advocates working to advance financial autonomy.

We will meet at the w3.Hub Berlin co-working space at Möckernstraße 120, right beside Deutsches Technikmuseum (close to U1/U3/U7 station Möckernbrücke) in the Kitchen space on the second floor.

Ordimint.com sponsors pizza and beer. Please RSVP here to plan for enough pizza.
We will have a small presentation about a Bitcoin topic and a discussion about it afterwards.
If you have a topic to present, please reach out to us during the meetup before or here via comment.
See you!
