Bitcoin Manitoba April 2025 Meetup - Screening of "My Trust in you is Broken"

Come join us for a screening of the Bitcoin Documentary "My Trust in you is Broken" and discussion about BTC Pay Server and Bitcoin for business.

The documentary film "My Trust in You Is Broken" tells the origin of BTCPay Server. Created by Nicolas Dorier, which was a reaction against BitPay's direction in the Bitcoin Block Size Wars and their support for SegWit2x.

The documentary chronicles the conflicted beginnings of Bitcoin as a payments system and emphasizes Dorier's pivotal role in contributing to Bitcoin merchant adoption.

The platform is free, open-source and enables merchants to directly accept Bitcoin, achieving independence from intermediaries. The film also underscores the perils of trusted third parties.
