Talk 1: Design me a future, HAL….HAL?! by Ali Khan
A designer's perspective on the new paradigm that is DACs (DAPPs or DAOs) and how things could be in the foreseeable future.
Ali Khan has been practicing design for more than nine years in varied geographical contexts with leading international design consultancies. He has worked in Lahore, Islamabad, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and currently resides in Bern.
Talk 2: Decentralization as a consequence of the blockchain by John Michell
The talk will explore how DAOs running Decentralized Applications will change how economic activity is organized.
John Michell has been involved in a number of successful business ventures in scientific instrumentation and in financial software. Having observed and participated in the PC and Internet revolutions; his current focus is the decentralization of Finance. His company, Xecnet operates as a UK bitcoin exchange, enabling UK clients to purchase bitcoins via the German banking system.
