#SegWitParty Zurich

With the price of Bitcoin heading towards the moon, one would think Bitcoiners everywhere have already had their good share of parties. But close observers know, that what really is on everyone's mind is when the first block gets processed with SegWit activated.

We don't know for sure when this will happen, but we heed the warning from the famous Dutch proverb: "De huid verkopen voor de beer geschoten is" (selling the skin before the bear has been shot, not to be confused with the Dutch proverb "De buit verkopen voor de heer geschoten is"). Hence, we're celebrating this event on the 24th August which has a high probability of knowing for sure that it has happened.

This is a purely social event without any formal speeches (though we may be looking to the Bitcoin Association Switzerland's President Lucas Betschart when the event reaches its climax).

Food will be provided, drinks can be purchased (seriously, the selection at the James Joyce Pub is so rich, we were overwhelmed and decided you should have no restrictions on what to drink).
