Bitcoin Independence Day Party TOMORROW

Dear Meetup members,

On August 1st 2017, the UASF Bitcoin movement ensured that Segwit would get merged into Bitcoin, allowing for the existence of the Lightning Network. This is our Bitcoin Independence, since it proved that the Bitcoin miners did NOT control Bitcoin and that they would not be able to force any decision making without the consent of all the users. It is important to celebrate this achievement to remind ourselves of why Bitcoin is so special and why decentralization is important.

What: beer, cocktails, no lecture or learning. Just fun!
