How does it actually look like to work with the Bitcoin blockchain for use cases like managing document ownership, far from any "blockchain voodoo", as one of our members recently so succinctly put it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNhvkISzsFk#t=1h02m55s) what's going on in our space sometimes?

How do you build such transactions? And how does it all tie in with all the current situation about fees? Heck, why don't you just use $altcoin that is so much easier / cheaper / faster / sexier / unicornier?

Florian Weigand (https://twitter.com/weigand_florian), CTO of Munich-based startup bernstein.io (https://www.bernstein.io/) – born out of a long-standing previous project (https://clipperz.is/blog/2016/11/26/reloaded/) named clipperz (https://clipperz.is/) – will shed some light, and give us an hands-on presentation of how to secure intellectual property on the Bitcoin blockchain.

For this he will create a manual Bitcoin transaction and go in the details of how to select a proper fee to be relayed. Furthermore he will show us some tools the developers at Bernstein are using for their day-to-day work.

Target audience: Advanced technical-oriented Bitcoin followers, and developers in general.

Because of the ongoing SegWit debate we will most likely give this topic also some room with a discussion round, and we will cover news if there's time.

Hello crypto enthusiasts!

Apart from our more informal Stammtisch, we organize this monthly event with talks, presentations, demos and workshops.

We'll have invited guests talk about technical subjects, or who demonstrate their projects or present their businesses. (You're always welcome to give a talk or present your project too. Just contact one of the organizers!)

You're also free to bring your notebooks and devices for the hands-on experience, to try out stuff, or to advance your projects, with the opportunity to collaborate with others, to exchange knowledge, to inspire each other, and whatever else we would come up with.

Also if you're a newcomer to the crypto-world or a non-programmer, we'll gladly explain and show the basics, e.g. how to install and use a wallet. If there is demand, there will be a separate session for newcomers each time, explaining Bitcoin and the essentials of the Blockchain protocol and what the fuzz is all about.

We're excited to have you, and we'll continue to strive towards making this event a great success! We have big plans for the future!

Wir laden Gäste ein, die über technische Themen referieren, oder ihre Projekte demonstrieren oder ihre Unternehmen präsentieren. (Ihr seid jederzeit willkommen, ebenfalls einen Vortrag zu halten oder euer Projekt zu präsentieren. Kontaktiert einfach einen der Organisatoren!)

Auch wenn ihr Neuling in der Crypto-Welt oder Nichtprogrammierer seid, erklären und zeigen wir gerne die Grundlagen, z.B. wie man ein Wallet installiert und benutzt. Wenn Bedarf besteht, gibt es jedes Mal eine getrennte Session für Neulinge, bei der Bitcoin und das Wesentliche des Blockchain-Protokolls erklärt werden, und worum sich der ganze Wirbel eigentlich dreht.
