The Bitcoin MultiSeries 3of6 - Scaling on the Second Layer: Lightning Network
Hosted by Bitcoin-N-Beers Vancouver
Details
This is the third part of a 6-part educational series presented on Saturday afternoons by speaker Mario Gibney of Blockstream.
In this presentation, we'll be covering Lightning Network - one of the most promising ways for bitcoin to break through its current scaling bottleneck.
We'll be covering the basics of payment channels, their different types, and how they are constructed and linked together into a trustless network. We'll include upcoming exciting developments to make Lightning more useful, including splicing, multi-party channels/channel factories, and more.
There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion after the presentation is done, and the material should be accessible and interesting to people of all backgrounds and levels of Bitcoin expertise.
If you're coming, please RSVP at the DCTRL event page:
