Facebook's Libra: Threat to Bitcoin or Trojan Horse Leading to Adoption?

Hey Everyone, the main topic for this event will be Facebook's Libra (formerly known as GlobalCoin) cryptocurrency. Or perhaps it wouldn't be fair to call it a cryptocurrency at all?

How will it work? How will they tackle KYC & comply with AML globally? How decentralized will it be? How will existing financial institutions including banks & money remittance companies like Western Union respond? How will central banks & national governments respond - will governments ban it because it threatens national currency? Will people actually trust Libra given Facebook's track record when it comes to privacy and censorship? Will Libra shed light on existing and outdated financial regulations causing change? Will it lead to greater Bitcoin adoption? Or since it will be a stable digital currency that can be sent with very minimal fees worldwide, will fewer people see value in Bitcoin?
