Join us for our monthly {workshop}! They're fun, informative, and highlight interesting and relevant topics to the bitcoin and open blockchain community. During the workshops we host a main speaker, several speakers for a panel discussion, or provide a hands-on demo / learning session. Attendees also have the option of giving a 3-minute lightning talk to announce relevant events and projects.

All ages and experience levels are welcome. If you’re new, you’ll find friendly faces excited and ready to show you the ropes. If you’re a bitcoin or open blockchain expert, you’ll find like-minded people to discuss new or existing projects.

This month we'll be exploring 21 Inc.'s bitcoin computer (https://21.co/) (a raspberry pi system, with a mining chip and development platform) with some Chicago developers using the platform (not a sales pitch). We'll get a hands-on demonstration along with a quick overview of the device. We'll talk about some interesting projects (http://www.coindesk.com/what-people-building-21-inc-bitcoin-computer/) people are working on. If you're not a developer don't worry; you don't have to be a developer to get inspired by the 21 device! We expect this meetup will spawn some great ideas for new projects.

All monthly workshop events include lightning talks by community members. In 3-minutes anyone can present their idea, ask for help, recruit partners, or launch new projects. It's a perfect opportunity to find co-founders, coders, advisors, designers, and clients to help make your idea a reality. Look for the sign-up sheet at the registration table.

Plan to arrive between 3:30-3:50pm for networking and socializing until 4:00pm. Workshop events officially begin at 4:00pm and end between 5:00-5:30pm. Of course everyone is welcome to stay and continue the conversation at Geek Bar even after the event officially ends. This venue is family friendly, with board games and gaming consoles for kids of all ages. Food and drinks are available too.

Please RSVP so we can get an accurate count for the waitstaff. We hope to see you at the workshop!
