Leveraging signatures: MimbleWimble & Liquid {Workshop}

This talk, by BOB's own Ian Shipman, will cover two emerging technologies in the cryptocurrency world. MimbleWimble is an inventive structure for a transaction ledger to use in a public blockchain. It has good privacy properties and concise state. Liquid is a special system for owning and transferring bitcoin, which has confidential assets and transactions. Both of these technologies extend and modify digital signatures to achieve their interesting features. I'll start with an overview of cryptography basics aimed at developers, then explain MimbleWimble, confidential transactions, and confidential assets at a high level. The goal is to make the material friendly.
