Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Security

Hello San Diego,
This month we are going to be bringing you a local expert, Gorden Cheng. Gorden will be talking about one of the least talked about but most important things in crypto, Security. Gorden will cover the Personal security which will include wallets types, exchange problems & overall hygiene.
We are very excited to have Gorden speak and share his expertise.

Gorden Cheng is an information security professional living in San Diego. Following Bitcoin since 2016, Gorden has become an active member in the local BItcoin and Blockchain community. After examining the Blockchain architecture and consensus algorithms, Gorden realized this has massive implications for the world just like the Internet in the 90s. Being an avid security awareness presenter, this presents the perfect opportunity for Gorden to educate the community on techniques, best practices, and pitfalls to avoid when navigating this nascent technology.

Gorden has worked in the local San Diego tech community since 2004 for companies such as Qualcomm, Sony, and other startups; he currently serves as Director of Information Security for Oracle Inc. and holds CISSP, CISM, & CISA certifications.
