BTCX | Great Blocktech Awards III

The blocktech awards is an initiative by BTCX, the first Swedish BSP (Blockchain Service Provider). We want to honor individuals and companies who have contributed to mainstream understanding, versatility and evolution of the bitcoin and blockchain technologies.

The award is presented in three categories:

1. The Blocktech person of the year. This recipient is picked by the BTCX award committee.

2. The Blocktech company of the year. The award committee nominate companies that are either active in the industry itself, or, has adapted or made use of the technology.

3. The peoples choice award. Anyone can nominate an individual that has done good things for the industry using whatever means avaliable to him or her.

Recipients of the award are among others; The member of Swedish parliament for the Liberal Party, Mathias Sundin, The then head of digital economy of the future at Swedbank, Anna Felländer and David Hedqvist who drove a case regarding bitcoin to the EU-court against the Swedish Tax autority, and won. Company of the year last year was XBT Provider who trades Bitcoin tracker one on Nasdaq.

The 3rd annual blocktech awards will be presented at Epicenter Stockholm (https://epicenterstockholm.com/) on 27 January 2017.
