Could a Bitcoin eventually be worth 7 Billion dollars?

On a Bitcoin monetary standard, envisaged and being brought into reality by Bitcoin developers, entrepreneurs and advocates, "1 BTC = 1 BTC". But during this potentially multi-decade process, the fiat denominated exchange rate or "price" of Bitcoin is an important measure of its adoption as a global, decentralised savings account and medium of exchange.

For better or worse, the extent to which Bitcoin's fiat exchange rate is perceived to be increasing has, at least in stable Western democracies, been the primary initial motivation for many people adopting it. It's often only after Bitcoin has gained their attention this way, that people go on to discover its other splendid qualities as a superior form of money.

Although we can be by no means certain what Bitcoin's price is going to do, in the long term and even less so in the short term, there is much we can draw upon to make reasonable predictions. The evening's main speaker, James Check, leads the analysis team at @glassnode, a company that specialises in using on-chain metrics and data to do just that.

The second half of the evening will include a panel discussion and Q&A with James, high net worth financial advisor Peter Dunworth and other panellists (to be advised) where we will explore other indications for where we are in the market cycle.

James Check:

James leads the analysis team at @glassnode, THE place for on-chain metrics and data. James is a former geotechnical engineer, with expertise in designing tunnels, mines, foundations, and underground structures. Commencing his Bitcoin on-chain analysis journey in late 2018, James is now at the forefront of data and analysis for Bitcoin.

Peter Dunworth:

Peter Dunworth runs a multi-family office representing high-net-worth clients based in Sydney, Australia. These would be considered "sophisticated investors” with an incomes of more than $250k or investable assets of more than $2.5m. Peter has been advising not only that Bitcoin is essential to their portfolios, but what legal structures to employ to do it most tax effectively, seizure restively and in the best way when leaving an estate.

Peter has made waves on a range of recent podcasts with his prediction that Bitcoin will ultimately reach 7 Billion dollars a coin. He will be joining our discussion panel after James' talk to discus how he arrived at this figure.
