Join Bitcoin Sydney to catch up and discuss the financial revolution that is taking place before our eyes.

In the space of a generation, El Salvador has gone from being a literal "case-study" for political oppression and one of the most dangerous countries in the world, to a beacon of hope and freedom in an increasingly authoritarian one.

Emblematic of this revolution towards peace and prosperity was its adoption of a Bitcoin Standard, the first country in the world to do so.

Bitcoin has been legal tender there since 2021. Since that time, many Bitcoiners have visited El Salvador, many with a view to taking up permanent residence, in accordance with the mantra of "going where you're treated best".

But what is life really like there, three years in to this experiment? Is it all it's cracked up to be? What, if any, are the disadvantages?

At this event we'll hear from Mark of Bitcoin about his first-hand experiences on the ground in El Salvador in his presentation, "El Salvador: Through a Western Bitcoiner's Eyes".
