Blockchain technology revolutionizing government and the music industry

By Bitcoin Budapest & De-Central Budapest & Budapest Beyond Bitcoin

[This meetup will be held in English]

Based on your feedback, the previous meetup topic attracted a lot of interest therefore we decided to hold an extra session for you with two other meetup groups. During this session we’ll explore blockchain even further but this time we’ll approach it from a different angle. Leaving behind the technological method, we’ll explore two completely different use cases of bitcoin’s underlying technology.

A number of artists are deeply dissatisfied with the present state of the music industry, just like many citizens are fed up with the current frame of democracy.

Blockchain technology has the potential to completely restructure both systems.

Smart contracts could immediately and automatically distribute revenues to artists and copyright holders in a hassle free manner. Freelance agents could invest in artists (who deserve more attention) and gain remuneration for promoting them.

With the same technology we could create a more effective and transparent decision making process, where citizens can have their direct vote on things if they wanted to, choose their representatives freely or even become representatives themselves for others.

How could blockchain revolutionize two completely different structures?

How can we achieve these potential outcomes?

Who can do it?

What else can we use the technology for?

Come and get familiar with the latest blockchain-related potentials but don’t leave your questions and ideas home.

Difficulty: Easy (Who never heard about bitcoin will also understand the presentations)

Do not hesitate in case you don’t know anything about it! We’ll give you a brief introduction to the world of Bitcoin, so you won’t miss anything.
