Bitcoin at The Beach BBQ & Marketplace (023)

💡 Event Summary:
Join us for a Bitcoin on the Beach BBQ Marketplace meetup. We'll have burgers for sale so come with an empty stomach!

We are meeting on a Friday July 3rd @ 5:00pm NOT WEDNESDAY (due to Canada Day conflict).

Bring your own drinks and snacks and come hangout and talk bitcoin as the sun goes down.

🛒 Bitcoin Marketplace: Bring items you'd like to sell for Bitcoin — books, crafts, snacks, drinks, art or anything else. This is a great chance to experience earning Bitcoin, not just buying it!
If anyone wants to load there wallet bring up to $20 cash.

Here's the plan:

• We'll help everyone set up a Bitcoin hot wallet on your phone (if you haven't already)
• Bring upto $20 cash to convert into Bitcoin (or earn Bitcoin by selling something!)
• Bring items to sell and price them in sats — test out being on the other side of a Bitcoin transaction
• We'll do some test transactions together so you get comfortable sending and receiving
• Browse what others brought and spend some sats — complete the circular economy
• By the end, you'll be ready to actually spend (and earn) Bitcoin in the wild
• The Challenge: Your mission is to spend that Bitcoin before our August meetup! Find a coffee shop, online store, or service that accepts Bitcoin and use it. We'll compare notes next month on what everyone bought.
• No stress if you're new to this - we'll walk through everything step by step. Just bring the cash and your phone!

• A casual peer-to-peer marketplace where you can buy and sell items directly for Bitcoin — no exchanges, just pure P2P commerce.
