You may have heard by now that Philadelphia Brewing Company is now accepting Bitcoin for purchases made at the brewery. This is exciting new for the Bitcoin community! We are going to celebrate this momentous occasion with a tour of the brewery followed by a beer tasting. Afterwards we will be able to take cases of beer with us that were paid for in Bitcoin. How awesome is that!!!!????

There may be some press there covering this event. This is a great opportunity to showcase the ease and efficiency of Bitcoin as a payment network. This also may be an opportunity to attract the Bit-curious to our meet-up that would otherwise not come. Some come prepared to both educate and recreate. The promise of beer has a magical way of motivating people....

The people at PBC are wonderful and they've have played a big part in the revitalization of Kensington both by bringing production and manufacturing back to the neighborhood and their generosity and participation in neighborhood projects. Please come support Bitcoin and local business.
