Bitcoin & Robots - LIVE DEBATE - The "51% attack"
Details
✨ This Thursday is a special Bitcoin & Robots meetup.
Join us for an engaging discussion/debate on one of the most controversial topics in the global Bitcoin community:
The 51% Attack
This will be a technical discussion for the most part.
📌Discussion points:
- Is Bitcoin genuinely at risk of a 51% attack, or is it theoretically immune?
- What safety measures could be implemented to counteract a 51% attack?
- How detrimental would a 51% attack be if it were successful?
- If Bitcoin's hash rate significantly drops significantly, does this make Bitcoin more susceptible to attacks?
- Centralization vs. Decentralization: Mining pools being able to team up and control 51% or more of the all of Bitcoin's hash rate which could lead to a 51% attack scenario, or maybe it's a non-issue.
The reason we feel this topic is important is because some people have lost confidence in Bitcoin due to a scare of a 51% attack, but there is also the other side of this where people's confidence has significantly grew about Bitcoin when they claim to have found out it's a non-issue making Bitcoin look even more robust.
Discussing these critical topics are important.
We will continue to have live debates at our meetups on controversial topics that affect Bitcoin.
We’re excited to host this meetup at Ren's Cafe & Bistro, 1 of the newest businesses to accept Bitcoin payments.
Hosted by [Coinos.io](http://coinos.io/) , a free Bitcoin/Lightning wallet.
For free, Coinos sets up businesses of all types to accept Bitcoin as a payment option.
