We are excited to invite you all to this online workshop where we are going to discuss the 1st place solution of the Viral Tweets Prediction Challenge, which ran on the bitgrit platform from May 6 to July 6, 2021.

Joining us for this event is Issagali Konysbayev (username: ‘isa k dsmlkz’), the winner of the Viral tweets Prediction Challenge, who is going to go into detail about his solution. Mr. Issagali has a background in applied mathematics, economics and finance, as well as experience in investment management and in the insurance industry. For the last four years, he has been learning about data science, with a focus on deep learning applications for structured data.

During this event, Isa will share a summary of his solution and the approach he took that ultimately brought him to victory! 🏆

The workshop will start with a quick overview of the winning solution.

Through this workshop, you will also learn about:
⚡️ One way of building a pipeline to win a competition;
⚡️ Cross-validation with double stratification;
⚡️ Data preprocessing and feature engineering for structured data with extracted image and text features;
⚡️ Decision tree models (lightgbm, catboost) and neural networks (pytorch);
⚡️ Non-linear stacking of the models outputs;
