## Most history sessions focus on the price of pizza or the mystery of Satoshi’s identity. We aren't doing that. This session pivots away from the folklore to examine the specific technical bottlenecks—centralized mints, double-spending, and sybil attacks—that defeated the predecessors of Bitcoin and how Satoshi’s synthesis finally broke the deadlock.

- The Pre-Satoshi Failure Modes: Analyze why eCash and B-money couldn't survive without a central coordinator.
- The Difficulty Adjustment Breakthrough: Identify the specific mechanism that allowed the network to bootstrap without a marketing department.
- The Social Scalability Transition: Evaluate how the removal of a "benevolent dictator" secured the protocol's ossification.
