The Phu Khao Thong chedi is situated about two kilometres northwest of the city Island. It was built by King Ramesuan in 1387. Burengnong, the Burmese king, built three layers of the large superimposed base in the Burmese style after he seized Ayutthaya in 1569 and named it Phu Khao Thong.

This old abandoned temple is an archaic site that is a ruin surrounded by households. Its unique component that attracts visitors is an arch that is densely covered with temple trees, which look beautiful and dignified until it is called the ‘Gate of Time’.

Wat Na Phra Men or the Monastery in Front of the Funeral Pyre sometimes called
Wat Na Phra Meru. Featuring a gorgeous 6m-high Buddha flanked by maroon columns, this active temple was one of the few to escape the wrath of Burma's invading army in 1767; it survived by serving as the army's main base and weapons storehouse.

THE ELEPHANT KRAAL OF AYUTTHAYA is an unusual structure that was used during the 16th century Ayutthaya kingdom to entrap wild elephants for the Thai army. In fact, an elephant entrapment ceremony commenced within the kraal, and was attended by the kings of the era. This kraal is the only one left in Thailand.

Wat Chaiwatthanaram
One of the most visited historical site of Ayutthaya, Wat Chaiwattanaram rests on the bank of the Chao Phraya River, to the west of the city Island. The Temple was ordered to built-in 1630 by King Prasat Thong to honor his mother, featuring the architectural style influenced by Angkor temple in Cambodia
