This is our last event for the year, and we'll be back on 30 Jan 2025

These events are a time to spend on your projects and topics that you are passionate about: start something you've been wanting to build, devote an evening to your side project outside of $DAYJOB, or learn a new skill.

These are also a good opportunity to meet friends and colleagues, and talk about your favorite tech.

This month:
Ben Scherrey, CTO of BiggestLab.io, will talk about Practical Application & Limits of AI from a General Systems Thinking Perspective. Ben is a General Systems Practitioner and technologist in information processing & AI.

General systems thinking innovator, Dr. Russell Ackoff, has a strong model for the "Content of the Mind" that proposes five categories for information starting from Data through Wisdom.

Ben will describe how various technology innovations apply to these categories and what levels of these categories reveal the limits and opportunities for each of these technologies including LLMs and beyond. Also shown will be insights of practical research in AI to take it further than the limits that LLM driven approaches are capable of.
