These events are a good chance to catch-up with friends and colleagues, and to learn about new and emerging technologies as well as classic systems and approaches.
This month: Mike Amy will be using a Neurosymbolic platform in Python to solve Sudoku and reason about Thai Visa regulations.
He will explain why Neurosymbolic AI systems built around a clausal logic core, with guarantees built in, are a better alternative to LLMs to build reliable, verifiable, fast, cheap and above all predictably correct AI.
Mike will also present the argument that we need a future where anyone can run powerful AIs locally without subscription and with sovereignty over their own data, not one where important decisions are made in expensive far-away servers running opaque black boxes of numbers inside GPUs that we hope work.
