What we’re about
The goal of this group is to inspire minority groups to step outside of their comfort zone and explore the compelling world of the classical arts. This group will engage in classical music excursions, celebrate at events that promote the fine arts, and learn more about notable and positively impactful historical figures from the classical era and the genius minds responsible for bringing these gifts to our world.
Being a person of color, I've firsthand seen the disproportionate levels of participation at classical events and was inspired to create this group after attending a concert of one of the most prolific classical musicians of our time, and witnessing hardly any representation in the symphony or the audience.
Are you a classical music enthusiast?
Do the sounds of Brahms, Chopin, and Bach bring you joy?
Maybe Richard Wagner is a fave?
Even if you are not a fan of classical music, and this group sounds like it would be a change from your norm, we invite you to join us as we embark on this journey!
***The goal of this group is not to exclude anyone but to offer additional insight to populations who are not frequently a part of the classical music scene. This group does not discriminate against race, color, or creed but encourages all who love or are interested in classical music to join us!
