Welcome to Black Aros and Aces, an online + worldwide community for Black people to connect with others on the aromantic and/or asexual spectrum. If you're questioning, you're welcome too!
Aromantic = Romantic orientation where one feels little to no romantic attraction
Asexual = Sexual orientation where one feels little to no sexual attraction
Aromanticism and asexuality are spectrums, and both contain many orientations within them. Not all aromantics and asexuals feel and think the same.
In other spaces, it may be difficult to find people who look like you. Maybe you've wondered if other Black aspec people feel the same. This group is created just for us to find other Black people who get it, and know we're not alone.
At BAA, we host online events where we share stories and resources, get to know each other, and possibly learn more about ourselves. There's also room for fun times, of course.
Our goal is to be a safe space for Black people to feel validated and comfortable in their identity, without being drowned out by people who don't understand or spaces that are already dominated by others.
