What we’re about
This is a small collective of Black women across Jamaica who are repatriates (whether born in or outside of Jamaica) and unite around Black justice to progress Jamaica. We are about decolonized minds, constant learning, peace, rest, and joy.
We counter the legacies and practices of white supremacy, anti-Blackness, colonialism, imperialism, racism, colourism, classism, misogynoir(-ny), homophobia, and other inhumane and destructive systems. We are a secular community.
Our activities may include:
- Volunteering for vulnerable populations
- Policy advocacy and community activism for Black social and economic justice
- Policy advocacy and community activism for reparations for slavery, genocide, and colonialism
- Readings on history, identity, and liberation
- Peaceful outings into nature
- Restful wellness activities
- Joyful outings to cultural events
- Community wellness calls
