What we’re about

This group is exactly what it says: a space for Black folks in San Antonio to connect and do cool, meaningful things together.

Whether you’re new to town or just craving deeper connection, this is a place to build real friendships and lasting community through shared experiences. Think: laid-back game nights, nature hikes, cultural festivals, Black-owned business spotlights, cookouts, art shows, or just hanging out and vibing.

There’s no pressure to be anyone but yourself. This isn’t about clout—it’s about community.

If you’ve been looking for a space where you can be yourself and meet folks who understand—this might be it.

Mission

To create an intentional, joyful, and culturally affirming space where Black people in San Antonio can connect, feel seen, and build community through shared experiences and mutual support.

Manifesto

We’re not here to impress.
We’re here to connect.

We’re not performing.
We’re showing up, resting, laughing, building—and just being.

We believe:
• Black joy is resistance—and healing.
• Community isn’t a trend—it’s a lifeline.
• Everyone deserves a space where their full self is welcomed, respected, and celebrated.

This group exists because we deserve more than survival—we deserve joy, depth, belonging, and space to just be.

Bylaws
This space centers Black people. That includes the full diaspora—across age, gender, orientation, spirituality, neurodivergence, and more. All Black folks are welcome.

Respect is the baseline. Kindness, safety, and accountability are non-negotiable. Harmful language, hate, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.

No cliques, no judgment. Whether you’re introverted or extroverted, spiritual or skeptical, new to town or a longtime local—you’re welcome here.

Be present, not perfect. Show up however you are, even if it’s just once in a while. Your energy matters.

Community is co-created. You don’t have to organize—but offering support, ideas, or encouragement helps us all grow.
