Keeper of Lost Children by Sadeqa Johnson is a historical fiction novel set in the 1950s-60s, focusing on the forgotten mixed-race children left in post-WWII Germany. It follows Ethel Gathers, an American officer's wife who finds homes for these abandoned children, alongside narratives of a Black GI and a teenager searching for her identity
