Be Mine-atee: A Manatee and BioBlitz event

Join us at Blue Springs State Park to view some of Florida's favorite marine mammals, manatees! We’ll also be hosting a BioBlitz, so be sure to download iNaturalist beforehand.

We will be meeting at The Thursby House, the big white house in the middle of the park.

It'll be cold, so be sure to dress appropriately. We will be viewing manatess, so if you want photos, be sure to bring the appropriate equipment. A Bioblitz is a fun activity in which, on the iNaturalist app, for a set period of time, document all the organisms within the area. This information is used to track biodiversity in the area and is a great tool to learn about the natural world around you.
