What we’re about

This is for the Men and Women of DC, Maryland, Virginia(DMV) community who are tired of bs'ing around and want to go all in to seriously make changes to their physical condition and now!

It's pretty simple. We link together in small groups at a gym, share our goals, and/or knowledge, then we lift these weights since they won't lift themselves!

No elliptical machines my friends! We need to get some work done. Think basic strength training techniques, circuits, HIIT training, calisthenics, and whatever else that is necessary to reach your overall goal.

It is advised that everyone be a member of an actual gym( or fitness venue) to host. Or at minimum 1 person be able to facilitate the people they are hosting at a particular gym meetup session. The expectation there is for more experienced, or at least the most enthusiastic, Gym Buddies to take the lead in these meetup sessions.

2 to 4 Gym Buddies at a single gym meetup seems to be a realistic expectation here.

As an overall group, we plan to provide various fitness activities outside of gym meetups. However the gym is the core of what this group will do. The goal is building and encouraging an ongoing lifestyle here friends.

Staying committed to health and fitness provides discipline that permeates through other aspects of your life, not just in the gym. They call this a "Keystone Habit".
