The Freedom to Unmask: Unapologetically Black and Autistic
Join us for a powerful and affirming conversation inspired by the book Unmasking Autism by Dr. Devon Price. This isn’t a formal book club—it's a space to reflect on what it means to unmask as Black autistic adults in a world that often misunderstands both our Blackness and our neurodivergence.
Whether you’ve read the book or not, you’re welcome here. We’ll explore how masking has shown up in our lives—at work, in relationships, in church, in childhood—and what it looks like to start letting go of the performance and embracing our authentic selves. Expect honest dialogue, shared strategies, cultural insights, and a supportive space to just be.
Meeting Details:
- Start Time: 6:30 PM EST
- Late Entry Cutoff: 6:40 PM EST (No one will be admitted after this time)
- Platform: Google Meet
- The meeting link will be sent to those who RSVP 30 minutes before the start time.
This is a safe space created by and for Black neurodivergent adults. Come as you are—unmasked, unfiltered, and free.
