As 2025 comes to a close, many Black religious trauma survivors are carrying stories of growth, shedding, awakening, and resilience that deserve to be honored.
Healing from religious abuse — especially within the Black Church or other spiritual communities — is not a linear path. This year may have held breakthroughs, grief, clarity, anger, courage, loneliness, liberation, and new beginnings. All of it matters. All of it deserves space.
In this final gathering of the year, let's come together as a community to reflect on:

  • What we learned about ourselves, faith, boundaries, healing, and identity
  • What we shed — beliefs, roles, fears, relationships, or old versions of ourselves
  • What we are now embracing as we move into 2026 with intentionality and self-trust

This session will be a grounding, affirming, and connective space where:

  • We celebrate our resilience
  • We honor the losses and gains of this year
  • We witness one another without pressure or judgment
  • We explore who we are becoming outside the constraints of toxic religion
  • We acknowledge the courage it took to survive and continue healing

Whether this year felt like survival mode, deep transformation, or slow and steady progress, your journey is worthy of reflection and reverence.
Join us for a supportive, and empowering year-end circle as we release 2025 and prepare to step into 2026 with clarity, freedom, and renewed self-compassion.
Please bring Pen & Paper as we engage in some reflective prompts. See you on Thursday 12/18/25 @12/18/25 @7pm EST!
