Honky Tonk Jam Monday
Details
Please come and join us for a lively jam session made possible due to a fifth Monday in August. The theme is Honky-Tonk! Yes, all those toe tapping tunes that make you want to get up and dance or order another round.
Our own Tom O’Connor has assembled a list of Honky-Tonk/Country songs that will surely inspire you. Songs like:
Dwight Yoakum’s: Honky Tonk Man
Micky Gilley’s: Don’t the Girls all Get Prettier at Closing time,
Willie Nelson’s Whiskey River
Kitty Wells It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky-Tonk Angels
Loretta Lynn: Don’t Come Home a Drinkin’
and MANY MORE. Oh Boy-there are a lot of ‘em and this should be a blast! Before the jam, be sure to download the latest Honky Tonk songbook at https://www.blackroseacoustic.org/s/Honky-Tonk-Songbook-v20b-2026-08.pdf
So come on out and have a rowdy old time! There will be a pdf you can download from the Black Rose website, or bring along copies of a Honky-Tonk song of your preference. The jam is at Beth El Mennonite Church from 6:30PM to 8:30PM. Tom O. is our Honky-Tonk jam leader, with some help from Doug K.
