The Festival Bluegrass jams are held on the FIRST and THIRD MONDAY of each month at Beth-el Mennonite Church, 4625 Ranch Drive. Join us for a Bluegrass Jam this Monday evening 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. Robin B. and Charlie S. are our Jam Leaders. We are emphasizing typical festival jam etiquette, where people are looking at each other and not at paper. Sheet music is allowed, if absolutely necessary, for the person meeting this song, but please don't bring handouts. The song leader should verbally communicate the chord progression and any other hints to make the song successful.
Some details about Beth-El Mennonite Church (which we greatly appreciate hosting us):

  • Beth-El Mennonite Church is on the east side of Union, and is best approached from Austin Bluffs Parkway, then turn north onto Union and right onto Ranch Dr. in a little less than a mile. Take an immediate right into the church driveway. Aerial view here, click the photo of Beth-El for a google map.
  • Parking is free.
  • Access to the building is through the Back Door (South Side). The Main Doors will not be open.
  • The room for the jam is room 16, which is along the hallway after you enter.
  • We'll have our usual donation bucket, with donations going to cover our rental cost and supporting other Black Rose activities.

Hope to see you there!

Your Jambassadors,
Michael & JD

  • P.S. Other jam details, consistent for all our Black Rose jams:
  • Please be careful to note the jam location and time. Check our jam page for the latest schedule. Check our locations page for aerial maps, with links to Google Maps.

P.P.S. Are you wondering if you should be a Black Rose member if you only come to Black Rose jams and not the Friday concerts? (Members get a great discount at concerts!) If your finances are tight, we appreciate your monetary donations at the jams you attend. On the other hand, if you want to provide steady and continuous support of all our community-focused events, consider our sustaining membership option (see https://www.blackroseacoustic.org/membership) And thank you, however you choose to support the Black Rose!
