Every May, we pause to celebrate the mothers and mother figures who shape our lives. Honor the mother figures in your life in a lasting way by recording oral histories and digitizing materials that tell their stories. Join the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum and the National Museum of African American History and Culture in safeguarding the legacies of maternal figures who raised families, mentored generations, and nurtured communities.

This event will be held offsite at Lipsey Auditorium, Buffalo AKG Art Museum, 1285 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14222‑1096
