The Black Girl Collective is determined to bring beautiful women of color like you and I together, into a space of ongoing events that allow us to connect with other women who just seem to “get it”.
BGC is not just about being “a member of another meetup group”. The Black Girl Collective is more centered around being intentional with creating (and being a part of) a sisterhood of like-minded black women here in the Inland Empire. #BGCIE is intended to be a refreshing sisterhood in which we, women of color, connect with each another to support, uplift and empower one another.
What type of events can I expect to see here?
Think anything from happy hours, wine etiquette classes, workouts, community service events, mini retreats, workshops, group discussions and the list goes on.
Why Should I Join?
Because we need you. A whole is greater than the sum of its part. Our community here in the IE has been desperately (in my opinion) needing a platform that brings women of color together and keeps them together (consistency). This is For Us, By Us! BUT.......there is no social club without you.
BGC No- Show Policy
In an effort to ensure that we are being courteous to other members and our event organizers, we ask that if you RSVP for an event, and cannot make it, please make sure to update your rsvp status to no.
After two (2) no shows, we will have to remove you from the group and invite you to rejoin at a later time when you are able to fully adhere to the BGC no-show policy.
I have some ideas I would like to contribute:
In the mean time, feel free to message me, but I will have a form you can submit over the next couple of weeks.
