AFTER THAT, we can move around to the different galleries together or just listen to DJ On Mars. Remember that the BOOM! Exhibition closes September 1st and there’s an extra cost to get in the gallery. If you’re using the museum’s parking garage, DON’T FORGET to get your parking ticket validated.

DJ On Mars will be on the 1s and 2s. I’m imagining it will be like Sun Ra/jazz/R&B with some Outer Space 🪐 vibes (which I’m living for!)

Take a Sunset Stroll! ...with Black Philadelphia! Join the crew for a stroll across one of Philly's iconic structures as we take in the gorgeous skyline at sunset.

"The Ben Franklin Bridge Pedestrian Walkway offers a 1.5 mile off-road route with picturesque and breathtaking views for walkers, runners, and cyclists to travel between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Camden, New Jersey. The walkway provides amazing views and photo opportunities of Philadelphia and the Camden waterfront."

6:30 p.m. - WE ARE LEAVING! Not kidding...don't miss us!
The pedestrian walkway closes at 9pm, so we need to leave on time to get back before the gate gets locked.

We're going to take a walk on the pedestrian walkway, PERFECT FOR ALL FITNESS LEVELS SINCE IT'S ALL CONCRETE, BUT NOTE THERE IS A GRADUAL INCLINE AND DECLINE. You may not notice it while driving over the bridge, but you'll feel it as we walk.

THESE HIKES/STROLLS ARE WEEKLY, BUT ARE CONTINGENT UPON THE WEATHER & MAY BE CANCELED SHOULD THERE BE LIGHTNING

A fun stroll
This is a great event to talk and get to know other members. All you need is water and comfy sneakers. There is no tree cover, obviously, but there's a beautiful breeze over the water and a lovely view of the river and skyline.

This is a popular area that is frequented by people jogging, riding bikes, and walking dogs; just be aware of your surroundings.

PARKING
Park where you can. You may find something on 5th or 6th Street or on Race or Callowhill Street, but GIVE YOURSELF AT LEAST 20 MINS TO FIND PARKING.

This might be a good time to bike, use SEPTA, or rideshare options to get to the meetup location.
