Take a Hike! ...with Black Philadelphia! Join the crew for a 3 mile stroll to the "Temple of Doom Bridge" in Princeton, NJ! It's official name is the Swinging Bridge, but that's not as catchy. Wander easy trails, cross a swinging bridge, do some birding as we commune with nature. Folks can always grab lunch in Princeton before heading home.

8:45 a.m. - Meet and Greet at the Princeton Battlefield State Park parking lot.
9:00 a.m. - WE ARE LEAVING! Not kidding...don't miss us!
10:30 a.m. - End of stroll (approximately)THIS EVENT IS CONTINGENT UPON THE WEATHER & MAY BE CANCELED SHOULD THERE BE LIGHTNING.
A Fun Challenge
If you're looking for a fun challenge, this is it! Nature will be all over you by the time we're done.
This is a great event to talk and get to know other members.
WARNING: Our nature stroll will be on mixed terrain that will take us into wooded areas. In case there's mud, wear sturdy hiking boots/sneakers or regular sneakers with good traction.
I don't want to leave a fallen warrior behind, but I will!
Also suggested is a bottle of water. Bug spray, sunscreen, and a hat/scarf are also helpful, but not usually necessary. Bring your EpiPen or inhaler too (better safe than sorry).
This is a quiet area that is frequented by the occasional jogger or hiker. Just be aware of your surroundings.
NOTE: There are no restrooms on the trail

Summer Beach Day at Belmar Beach!
Join Black Everywhere - Philadelphia for a day at the beach! Get your towel, beverages, snacks, and sunscreen as we bring our joy to the Garden State. Thank you to our members Anusha for suggesting and hosting this great event.
Agenda - IMPORTANT
The group will meet right across/opposite Eleventh Avenue at Belmar Beach.
You'll grab your badge on the boardwalk across from 9th or 10th avenue and then frolic and glow. RAIN DATE WILL BE JULY 26THCOSTS:
For beach access, a beach badge/wristband is required for anyone ages 14 and up. YOU MUST PAY $10.25 (including fees) FOR A DAY BADGE TO ACCESS THE BEACH! Pick up and sale of beach badges are at the Taylor Pavilion (5th and Ocean Avenue) Check the photos to see the best ways to buy your badge.PARKING: Spaces along the boardwalk cost $2/hr
Active military members and dependents get onto the beach for FREE when they show Active Military ID.
Gold Star Family Members: A Parent, legal guardian of a member of the Armed Forces of the United States who died while on active duty for the United States get onto the beach for FREE.
ALL Veterans get on the beach for FREE by showing an ID that identifies them as a veteranAs a reminder, attendees are responsible for their own transportation to Belmar Beach, and we encourage carpooling. Please feel free to use the comment section below to arrange travel.
Please feel free to extend the invite to others. Remember to bring your beach necessities, including a towel, plenty of water, and snacks. Also, prepare to take your trash back with you.
