Take a Stroll! ...with Black Philadelphia! Join the crew for a leisurely stroll across one of Philly's iconic structures, the Benjamin Franklin Bridge! Special thanks to Deandra for hosting this great event!

"The Ben Franklin Bridge Pedestrian Walkway offers a 1.5 mile off-road route with picturesque and breathtaking views for walkers, runners, and cyclists to travel between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Camden, New Jersey. The walkway provides amazing views and photo opportunities of Philadelphia and the Camden waterfront."

10:00 a.m. - WE ARE LEAVING! Not kidding...don't miss us!

We're going to take a walk on the pedestrian walkway, PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS SINCE IT'S ALL CONCRETE, BUT NOTE THERE IS A GRADUAL INCLINE AND DECLINE. You may not notice it while driving over the bridge, but you'll feel it as we walk.

THESE HIKES/STROLLS ARE WEEKLY, BUT IS CONTINGENT UPON THE WEATHER & MAY BE CANCELED SHOULD THERE BE LIGHTNING

A fun stroll
This is a great event to talk and get to know other members. All you need is water, sunscreen, and possibly a hat. There is no tree cover, obviously, but there's a beautiful breeze over the water.

Bring your EpiPen or inhaler too (better safe than sorry). This is a popular area that is frequented by people jogging, riding bikes, and walking dogs; just be aware of your surroundings.

PARKING
Park where you can. You may find something on 6th Street or on Callowhill Street, but GIVE YOURSELF AT LEAST 20 MINS TO FIND PARKING

This might be a good time to use SEPTA or rideshare options.
