Take a Hike! ...with Black Philadelphia! Join the crew for a hike along a DIFFERENT ROUTE of Philadelphia’s many trails. Special thanks to Deandra, for hosting this great event!

9:55 a.m. - Meet and Greet on the bleachers under the awning near parking lot
10:00 a.m. - WE ARE LEAVING! Not kidding...don't miss us!
11:00 a.m. - End of hike (approximately)
We're going to take a nature stroll through the bird reserve! THIS EVENT IS MONTHLY, BUT IS CONTINGENT UPON THE WEATHER & MAY BE CANCELLED SHOULD THERE BE HEAVY RAIN AND WIND
A Fun Stroll
Nature will be all over you by the time we're done. This is a great event to talk and get to know other members. We can borrow binoculars for free to see all the birds and turtles and other animals. Wear regular sneakers with good traction. Also suggested are a bottle of water and a bite to eat, such as a granola bar, fruit or trail mix. Bug spray, sunscreen, and a hat/scarf are also helpful but not usually necessary. You may just need a light jacket, but be sure to layer, as you will warm up. Bring your EpiPen or inhaler too (better safe than sorry). This is a very popular area that is frequented by people riding bikes and walking dogs; just be aware of your surroundings. Park in the parking lot and we can borrow binoculars for free to see all the birds and animals.
