Hello everyone!
This weekend, we will be visiting Buckhorn State Park for the birding for some Fall birding. The location is a popular birding hotspot on Grand Island near the Niagara River, showcasing some beautiful scenery. Historically, 221 species of birds have been spotted at this beautiful location, with some of the highlights being tundra swans, various songbirds, and numerous waterfowl. We may even see some migratory birds, such as warblers, thrushes, and vireos. Some of these birds tend to be quite colorful. The event is open to birders of all levels. We will be walking through mostly wooded areas with a mixture of some fantastic vantage points where we can look out at the Niagara River. Let's meet in the Woods Creek Kayak launch parking lot. Check out the map for more details.
