Honoring our full selves:Being Black,LGBTIA+&Religious Trauma
Details
We will be highlighting and honoring those in the LGBTQIA+ Community during PRIDE MONTH!!!
For many Black survivors of religious trauma, identity has not always been something we were free to explore or fully express.
For those who identify as LGBTQIA+, this experience can be even more complex—often shaped by messages of rejection, silence, fear, or the need to hide parts of who we are in order to belong.
This session is a space to gently explore what it means to exist at the intersection of:
- Black identity
- LGBTQIA+ identity
- and the impact of religious trauma
Together, we will hold space for the fullness of our experiences—without pressure, without judgment, and without the need to explain or defend who we are.
This is not a space for debate.
This is a space for care, reflection, and connection.
You are welcome whether you:
- identify as LGBTQIA+
- are questioning or exploring your identity
- are seeking to better understand and support others
- or simply want to be present in a space that honors complexity and truth
There is no pressure to share.
You can speak, listen, or simply be present.
Your identity is not something that needs to be reconciled or explained here.
It is something that is worthy of being honored.
Come as you are.
Let's honor and encourage the LGBTQIA+ community during PRIDE Month!
See you on 6/11/26 @7pm EST!!
