Blacks Learning Code – Houston is a platform that is bringing together individuals of innovative and creative minds in the African American community who are driven and are tech curious. This group is geared toward individuals who would like to dive into (or dive deeper into) the world of software development. If you’ve ever found yourself interested in how web applications are built or if you’re willing to take the time to learn in this quick changing world of software development, this group is for you.
Blacks Learning Code – Houston is a group for beginners to kick start their development journey but we also invite experienced professionals to offer feedback, lectures and ideas to share their experience to help build the next generation of blacks in tech.
With that said, the doors are of course open for every and anyone interested in any and all things tech!
The idea is to schedule a meetup every month where we meet, socialize and learn something new about code and technology. The primary goal of this meetup is to take non-technical individuals who have an interest in code, and teach them how it works.
