What we’re about

Black TechXcellence (pronounced like Black Excellence with a T) is a cultural event series that target Black and Latinx tech professionals. At Black TechXcellence, we cultivate a community of black and latinx tech professionals by organizing a series of innovative, culturally relevant, pressure free, social events that promote genuine connection among attendees and facilitate the process of diversity recruitment in the tech industry.

For our event on June 5th, we are working with the good folks at Meet Up NYC and will be including an open and candid panel discussion on being black/ latinx in the tech industry. We’re looking for panelists who would like to share their experiences with discrimination, microaggressions or racism in the workplace and strategies/ resources you used (or continue to use) to overcome those difficult experiences.

We’re also extending an invitation to anyone interested in attending as a guest.
