Dear friends,
Thank you again for the previous session.
Next Wednesday we continue with "Thomas the Obscure".
Last time we were with Thomas who read. We asked what happens in that strange moment of reading. What kind of presence arises there, and where it remains once the reading withdraws.
This time we will look briefly at Jacques Lacan’s reading of the text. The reader is no longer simply the one who sees. The words begin to look back. Something in the image acquires a strange life and places the reader inside its field.
As before, we read passages together and follow the text slowly.
Side fragments will be provided.
No prior knowledge required, only patience with the text.
