The BLAST Axe & Archery Club invites you summon forth your inner amazon and throw axes (hatchets) with us.

ABOUT AXE THROWING … Indoor competitive axe throwing is a sport has taken off nationwide. Axe-throwing bars are designed to allow people to throw sharp objects (hatchets, knives, Ninja stars, etc.) at wooden targets. Often with drinks and, sometimes, food.

TIME … Show up at noon to pay, sign the waiver, get drinks, and join your team. Our reservation will be for 12:30pm start time. We will throw for an hour and the beginners receive instruction.

COST
• $22/woman to compete — free to watch
• Pay in advance if you possibly can, using Venmo (@Toni-ArmstrongJr) or Zelle (561-281-9552) or PayPal (toniajr@earthlink.net - choose Send to Friend to avoid fees). Put AXE in the message box.
• Cash or checks (no credit cards) at the door. Pay Toni Jr. when you arrive.

ABOUT TODAY’S TOURNAMENT
• Important: Wear closed-toe shoes!
• Important: Be on time please
• Our lanes each have two targets, and 4-5 women will throw at once.
• Scoring: Very liberal. One point if the axe sticks anywhere in the wood. More points for sticks anywhere within the target.

ARE YOU THROWING or WATCHING? … In the comments below, please write either THROW or WATCH so we have an accurate headcount to give the axe range manager. If you’re watching only, might you be willing to be a scorekeeper?

ABOUT GAME OF AXES … Game of Axes has two-target lanes. Hatchets and long-handled axes are currently available for throwing — we will be using hatchets for this tournament. They also have a bar that serves beer, wine, water, and pop.
