Intro to A Course in Miracles (Delray)

Today’s gathering will be an introduction to A Course in Miracles. We will read aloud paragraphs of the preface to acquaint everyone with the material — how the book works and what it is based on. We can each share experiences in applying it to our lives. Beginners are welcome.

A COURSE IN MIRACLES ….. A Course in Miracles (ACIM) is a teaching device that aims to assist its readers in achieving spiritual transformation. It’s based on the 1976 book by Helen Schucman, the underlying premise of which is that the greatest “miracle” is the act of simply gaining a full “awareness of love’s presence” in a person’s life. The book describes a purely non-dualistic philosophy of forgiveness, and includes practical lessons and applications for the practice of forgiveness in daily life.

PARKING & GETTING TO KATHY’S…. Kathy’s community is not gated. Park at the clubhouse, which is very close to Kathy’s back door. That address is 5185 Nesting Way, Delray Beach…. Kathy’s unit is a villa — 5180 Nesting Way, Unit C. She is the second door from Nesting Way and there will be a sign on her door.

ACCESSIBILITY ….. One-level building, wheelchair accessible. Bathroom has wide door and a hand rail.
