38th Annual Palm Beach County LGBT Pridefest celebration Saturday and Sunday. Costumes, banners, and signs are encouraged. Wear your BLAST shirt if you have one!

SUNDAY PARADE DETAILS …
• Bring rain gear if it looks drizzly. The parade is still on!
• Plan to meet up at 10:15am. Look for the BLAST contingent - BLAST banners, vehicle(s), and lots of wonderful women - in the 700-800 block of Lake St. in Lake Worth, near Rhum Shack, probably just east of J Street. The BLAST red Beetle and black Mazda will be there starting at about 8am.
• The parade steps off at 11:00, so allow yourself plenty of time to find parking and locate/get to our contingent.
• The parade leads right to Bryant Park, where our booth will be set up. Bring your female friends and family members to march with us!
***
PARKING & YOUR ARRIVAL …
• IMPORTANT: The streets will be barricaded at 8:30am (latest) with no through traffic allowed.
• There is free parking available at Compass (201 N. Dixie Hwy.) should you need a place to park, and then walk to the staging area in the 700-800 block of Lake St.
***
CARPOOL IF YOU CAN …
• Street parking is available, but very tight on parade day.
• Note below in the comments section where you're coming from (nearest big intersection and in what town) if you want to carpool.
***
MOTORCYCLES & SCOOTERS …
• If you will be riding instead of walking, please indicate this in the comments below. Dykes on Bikes will be the first thing in our contingent, right ahead of the banners.
• We will need your name, driver license, and insurance details (email to toniajr@icloud.com). Compass requires this information.
***
KIDS & PETS …
• This is a family- and pet-friendly event! (Be sure all animals are leashed at all times, and have adequate water.)
• Use the Comments section when you RSVP to indicate ages of kids you're bringing, just because other moms want to know.
***
PARADE “THROWS” …
Throwing things to the crowd is not allowed per the police. If you want to bring small things to hand out - candy, toys, plastic shot glasses, etc. - that's great. We’ll have some beads for you to wear and give.
***
WHAT TO WEAR & BRING …
• Costumes are always fun in a parade, but not required.
• Banners representing your women's group or publication are wecome!
• Hand-made signs are always welcome, but not required. NOTE: Please stick to women's issues and positive messages - this parade is about celebrating lesbians/women/BLAST, not about other topics.
