BABES IN THE GLADES at VITAMBI …
This event happens twice a year in the spring and fall, and was started in 2013 by BLAST member Daun Kilpatrick. Many BLAST members attend, along with women from the Campazons group, and other parts of south Florida.

WHEN …
Friday from late morning until Sunday at dusk. Come for the weekend or just Saturday. Check if Thursday arrival or Monday departure is possible.

Wide variety of housing options available to fit every budget, including individual cabins; the Pinetree Inn dorm; a military-style party barracks; rustic tent-camping; spots for RVs; and multi-bedroom furnished houses.

ABOUT VITAMBI SPRINGS RESORT & CAMPGROUNDS …
Vitambi acreage includes nature trails, a small pond, and wild animals including deer, owls, frogs, turtles, and armadillos. In the lodge, there’s a restaurant and a well-stocked bar with dance music, a pool table, Wii, and a small side room for discussion, games, and movies. Bring your own food, buy the discount Vitambi BOLO Cafe meal package, or pay as you go in their restaurant. Vitambi is located in Clewiston a mile or two west of the Palm Beach County line. WHAT TO EXPECT …
Participate in scheduled events or just hang out and relax. Friday night: A mixer (likely Left-Right-Center) in the bar. Saturday: Pool party with cocktails, music, and poolside BBQ. Sometimes Vitambi has guided nature walks and/or group games. Saturday night: Dancing, billiards, bonfire (maybe with drumming). You can bring bicycles. Various groups of women set up activities, such as Train Dominoes, swap meet, or poker.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT HOUSING …
• You must call Vitambi to make a reservation. An RSVP here on the BLAST website will NOT be seen by Vitambi staff.
• You can reserve for Saturday only if you don't want to do the whole weekend.
• Pets: Some of the housing options allow pets, some do not. Please discuss with Vitambi if you want to bring an animal. Be aware that any pets you bring MUST remain leashed because there is a lot of wildlife that runs free at Vitambi (including ones that will harm your animal).
